Schweizer Headed to Second Consecutive Olympic Games

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri track and field alum Karissa Schweizer claimed a sport in the 2024 Paris Olympics during the United State Trials on Tuesday in Eugene, Oregon.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri track and field alum Karissa Schweizer claimed a sport in the 2024 Paris Olympics during the United State Trials on Tuesday in Eugene, Oregon.

Schweizer secured her place in the 5k after taking third with a time 14:45.12. With consecutive Olympic appearances, Schweizer is the second female Tiger to make two Olympic teams as she joins current Tigers' associate head coach Natasha Kaiser-Brown.

Additionally, fellow Mizzou alumn Kaia Harris advanced to the finals of in the discus with a mark of 57.44m (188-5) to place 10th.
