No. 9 Gymnastics heads to Illinios to Open the 2023 Campaign

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The ninth-ranked University of Missouri gymnastics team opens the 2023 season against Illinois on Sunday inside Huff Hall.

 SERIES SNAPSHOT

  • Mizzou leads the all-time series against Illinois, 22-12. These two sides met last in 2022 with Mizzou taking the match. 

MIZZOU NOTABLES

  • This season marks the highest-ever the Tigers has been ranked in the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association coming in at ninth going into the season. This also marks the seventh-consecutive season, Mizzou was selected in the top 20. 
  • After earning its highest-ever Southeastern Conference Championship score, the Tigers look to continue their success.  
  • The Tigers return all of their postseason routines while welcoming six newcomers to the team.
