COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri baseball saw its seven-game winning streak snapped by No. 15/25 Gonzaga as the Bulldogs scored seven times in the eighth inning to take a 10-5 decision on Wednesday afternoon at Taylor Stadium.
The Tigers (9-2) controlled most of the game, racing to a 5-1 lead after three innings. Mizzou, however, could not put the Zags away as a dropped fly ball with two outs in the fifth allowed a pair to score. The momentum swung to the Gonzaga (10-2) dugout and with two outs and two strikes in the eighth, the Bulldogs reeled off seven runs for the decisive blow.
Mizzou squandered a strong start from junior Nathan Landry who worked five innings without allowing an earned run. A pair of errors, however, allowed Gonzaga to score three runs and stay in the game. Landry allowed just four hits while striking out three.
IMPACT INNING
A single and two walks loaded the bases with no outs in the top of the eighth for Gonzaga. The Tigers were able to setup an escape with a strikeout and infield fly, but with two strikes Gonzaga's Shea Kramer poked a game-tying single up the middle. The Zags poured it on with five more runs in the frame to put the game out of reach.

FROM THE SKIP
Coach Bieser on the late-inning loss…
"No doubt we feel like that's a game that we let slip away. I think we all felt really good at 5-1 and then you know we have a little miscue there and allow them to get back into game at 5-3. Then you have the big blow-up inning there in the eighth. Those things are gonna happen but we gotta learn and grow from this. We talked about postgame, you can't take anything for granted and this game just got away from us."
