
Tennis Continues Road Play at No. 22 Oklahoma State

STILLWATER, Okla. – The University of Missouri's tennis team (2-1) continues action against No. 22 Oklahoma State (2-1) tomorrow, Feb. 8 at 5:30 p.m.
Texas Review
After not competing for nearly four months, Mizzou made a strong showing against the top-ranked Longhorns. In singles, Valentina Vazquez was the only Mizzou player to win her first set against No. 117 Malaika Rapolu. Elys Ventura rallied in the second set and forced a third game against Allura Zamarripa. Gabriela Martinez held her own and took each set down to the wire against No. 40 Kylie Collins. In doubles competition, Bronte Murgett and Gabriela Martinez were up 5-2 on the Zamarripa sisters before Texas captured the doubles point.
Cowgirl Notables
Oklahoma State enters the matchup with twos upset wins against No. 23 Princeton and No. 21 LSU. The Cowgirls gave up just two points across both competitions and Martina Zerulo clinched the winning point in both victories.
There are currently three Cowgirls ranked in the ITA December 8 poll. Oona Orpana sits the highest in the singles ranking at No. 55, along with No. 86 Mananchaya Sawangkaew. Doubles duo Ayumi Miyamoto and Sawangkaew finish off the team's standings at No. 56.
