Wrestling Earns Two Individual Titles at the UNI Open

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Missouri wrestling team saw 10 wrestlers place at the UNI Open Saturday, Dec. 10, in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Sophomore Seth Nitzel claimed first place at 285 pounds, earning an 11-0 major decision in the final match. Freshman Clayton Whiting also took the top spot but in the 184-pound bracket. Meanwhile, freshman Kade Moore (125), classmate Cameron Steed (165), sophomore Colton Hawks (184) and freshman Ryan Boersma (285) all placed third in their respective weight classes.

Moreover, redshirt freshman Nate Pulliam placed fourth at 149 pounds. Classmate Brant Whitaker and sophomore Ellis Pfleger both finished fifth at 165 and 174 pounds, respectively.
