Kovac, Dahlgren Earn All-America Honors

ATLANTA – The Tiger seniors highlighted the third day of the 2022 NCAA Championships for the University of Missouri men's swimming and diving team. Danny Kovac and Jack Dahlgren both earned All-American honorable mention accolades in the 100 fly and 200 free, respectively.

Kovac finished in 14th place in the 100 fly with a finals time of 45.57. Dahlgren took 13th in the 200 free with a finals time of 1:32. Dahlgren also set a new personal record with a 1:32.01 in the prelims. Junior Ben Patton finished with a 100 breast time of 52.03. In the diving well, junior Carlo Lopez and sophomore Takuto Endo scored 314.65 and 296.10, respectively, on 3-meter.

"It was not everything we hoped for, but the Tigers are on the scoreboard. We need to squeeze everything we can out of our last day tomorrow, so we will be looking to make it back in the 200s for back, breast and fly."

All five Tigers will compete during prelims on the final day of the NCAA Championships on March 26. Dahlgren, Patton and Kovac will swim the 200 back, 200 breast adn 200 fly, respectively. Endo and Lopez will both compete on platform. Mizzou will also swim the 400 free relay.
