COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Soccer opens the second half of their 2020-21 slate on Thursday with the Creighton Blue Jays. After a four month break, the season will resume once again.
The Tigers had a successful conference schedule, earning the fifth seed in the SEC tournament. Mizzou won their opening game in Orange Beach against Florida, before falling to then-No. 10 South Carolina in the quarterfinals.
Junior forward Julissa Cisneros leads a potent Tiger attack that finished fifth in shots per game and sixth in goals per game in the fall. In the final two regular season games, Mizzou put up four and five goals against Kentucky and Florida, respectively.
Creighton is playing in their first game of the season. The Blue Jays finished 8-7-3 in the 2019 season, defeating three Big 12 opponents in the process.
The Tigers are looking to build upon a 4-3-2 record in the fall. Mizzou will look to a few new faces to contribute as Zoe Cross and Grace Kitts have moved on. Cross is now playing professionally in the United Kingdom with Lewes FC.
