Women's Basketball Travels to Face Saint Louis

Tigers look to move to 3-0 for first time since 2015-16
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Women's Basketball (2-0) will take on Saint Louis (1-1) on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. CT. The game will stream on ESPN+. The Tigers will look to move to 3-0 for the first time since the 2015-16 season.
The Tigers are coming off of a 73-49 victory over Morgan State where Aijha Blackwell posted her second double-double of the year. Blackwell and Hayley Frank each added 20 points in the contest.
Mizzou currently leads all SEC teams in field goal percentage at 53.4 percent. Aijha Blackwell and Hayley Frank are first and second, respectively, in the conference in the category. Each player is shooting over 70 percent for the season.
In the Tigers' first game of the season, Mama Dembele put up a career high 13 points to go with four steals. She drew a key charge late in the game against Murray State and then hit a three pointer on the ensuing possession to put the game out of reach.
Haley Troup has been effective for the Tigers in the early action. Troup has been in double figures scoring in each game while adding five assists apiece. The redshirt-senior has been key to the Tigers' offensive output early on.
Mizzou is 23-1 all-time against Saint Louis. The programs last met in 2019 where the Tigers defeated the Billikens 83-59 with Aijha Blackwell dropping 17 points and adding six rebounds.
