Mizzou Soccer Falls at Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Mizzou Soccer (6-10, 2-7 SEC) fell on the road at Kentucky (7-9-2, 1-8 SEC) by a score of 2-0.
Kentucky was able to jump on the board very early in the contest. Jordyn Rhodes scored her 11th goal of the season in the sixth minute to give the early advantage to the Wildcats.
The Tigers were able to put pressure on the Wildcats goalkeeper with a few chances off of corners, but could not break through in the first half.
Mizzou was again able to generate a few chances off of corners in the second half. Skye Kingsley put a shot on frame, but the Kentucky keeper was able to clean it up.
The Wildcats generated a good chance in the 63rd minute, but the shot from Jiminez deflected off the crossbar. Kentucky would eventually break through in the 76th minute with a free kick in a dangerous area. The initial free kick deflected off the bar and Úlfarsdóttir's header found the net to make it 2-0.
Blythe Beldner played a cross into Cisneros that she was able to put on frame in the 87th minute, but it was saved by the Kentucky keeper. The Tigers were able to get a few chances but were unable to cut into the deficit.
NOTES
The Tigers led 11-5 in corner kicks.
Shots and shots on goal were even for each side with 14 and five apiece.
Momola Adesanmi moved into second in program history with 86 career appearances.

The Tigers will face off with Texas A&M on Thursday, October 28th at 7 p.m. in Columbia.
