
No. 23 Mizzou Softball Picked Eighth in SEC Preseason Poll

COLUMBIA, Mo. - No. 23/24 Mizzou Softball has been picked to finish eighth in the 2021 Southeastern Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league office announced Thursday morning.
Alabama was voted as the preseason favorite in the conference, taking nine of the 13 first-place votes. The remaining first-place votes were given to LSU (two), Florida (one) and Tennessee (one).
Mizzou gains two spots from the 2020 preseason poll, where the Tigers were picked to finish 10th in the conference.
Head Coach Larissa Anderson is entering her third season leading the Mizzou Softball program. In her two seasons, the Tigers have amassed a 54-32 record. Mizzou begins the season ranked in in both the USA Today/NFCA Coaches' Poll and the ESPN.com/USA Softball Poll at No. 23 and No. 24, respectively.
