COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou volleyball earned its eighth-straight USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award which recognizes volleyball programs that maintain a year long GPA of 3.30 or better.
The Tigers posted a 3.45 as a team in 2020-21 and have now eclipsed the 3.30 mark in each year since the 2014 season. Mizzou's volleyball student-athletes also extended the program's run of academic success with its 12th-consecutive spring semester over 3.00.
A record-setting 244 D-I volleyball programs earned the award this year. Mizzou is one of 41 programs with a streak of eight-consecutive USMC/AVCA Team Academic Awards or more. The Tigers' streak is also the third-longest active streak among SEC teams.
