Mizzou Track & FIeld Completes Day One of Drake Relays

DES MOINES, Iowa — Mizzou Track & Field opened up competition at the 111th edition of the Drake Relays on Friday evening with the distance carnival, capturing one event win in the unseeded women's 800m race.

DES MOINES, Iowa — Mizzou Track & Field opened up competition at the 111th edition of the Drake Relays on Friday evening with the distance carnival, capturing one event win in the unseeded women's 800m race. 

Notable Finishes

Redshirt junior Karina Liz (Aurora, Ill.) captured the Tigers first win of the weekend, taking home first place in the unseeded women's 800m race in a time of 2:08.50. 

Up Next

Mizzou continues competition tomorrow at the Drake Relays. The action begins at 1:45 p.m. CT with the men's shot put. Track events will begin at 2:00 p.m. CT with the women's 200m dash. The Tigers will wrap up the meet on Saturday.
