COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball senior Kylie Deberg was named to the AVCA Southeast All-Region team on Tuesday (April 13). The selection is Deberg's third All-Region recognition in as many seasons at Mizzou.
The AVCA All-Region teams are voted on by head coaches from each region. All-Region selections are eligible for consideration in All-America voting.
Deberg led the SEC in kills (400), points (468.5), total aces (40), kills per set (4.71), points per set (5.51) and aces per set (0.47). Deberg ranks third in the country in total kills, points and aces, seventh in kills per set and fifth in points per set.
The veteran eclipsed the 20-kill plateau on 10 occasions this season. Deberg also produced seven double-doubles in the shortened year. She is set to break Mizzou's career marks in kills per set (4.28) and points per set (5.09).
Last week, Deberg earned her third All-SEC selection. She will be looking for her third All-America recognition as well. All-America selections are made by the AVCA awards committee, comprised of select head coaches from each region. All-America awards will be announced April 21.
Deberg and the Tigers open the 2020 NCAA Volleyball Championships on Wednesday, April 14, against South Dakota. First serve is set for 11 a.m. from Omaha, Neb.
