COLUMBIA, Mo – Mizzou Men's Golf recently announced the addition of junior transfer Charlie Crockett (Oxted, England) for the Fall 2021 season. Crockett inked his National Letter of Intent to join the team after a decorated, two-year career at Hutchinson Community College.
"With a veteran-heavy roster right now, we're excited to have Charlie join our program to add some fresh, yet experienced talent. He's accomplished a lot within the last few years and is a hardworking individual ready to compete at a high level," said head coach Mark Leroux.
In his time at Hutchinson CC, Crockett made a name for himself after earning back-to-back year honors as both a Ping First-Team All-American and Jack Nicklaus Finalist for the 2018-2019, 2019-2020 seasons. His award reign started early after being named Phil Mickelson Freshman of the Year in his debut season. Crockett ended his JUCO campaign with a total of seven wins.
Most recently, the English native fired his career-low round score, a 64, at the Rawls Course Fall National Preview in 2020.
Prior to collegiate golf, his prep career at Oxted Secondary School was highlighted by being named the National Schools winner during his senior year in 2018.
"I view Mizzou as the best place for me to grow. They have a great program established and play a competitive schedule that I'm excited to be a part of," said Crockett.
