COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Wrestling 149-pound junior Brock Mauller was named Mid-American Conference Wrestler of the Week, announced Wednesday by the league office. It marks Mauller's first weekly honor of the season and the Tigers' fourth individual honor this season.
Mauller joins 165-pound freshman Keegan O'Toole and 141-pound junior Allan Hart as Tigers to earn the MAC Wrestler of the Week title this season. O'Toole earned the honor on Jan. 27, and Hart earned the honor on Jan. 20 and Jan. 6
The Columbia, Mo. native improved to 13-0 on the season following his three victories at the Cowboy Challenge last Sunday (Feb. 14). Mauller defeated No. 4 Boo Lewallen of Oklahoma State in the finals by a 7-5 decision in TB-1. Mauller also picked up a major decision in the semifinals.
Mauller is ranked No. 3 at 149 pounds by FloWrestling, InterMat, TheOpenMat and WIN Magazine.
