Tigers have seven of 10 starters ranked among the top-20 at their weight, highlighted by No. 3 Brock Mauller at 149
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Wrestling is ranked 15th in the WIN Magazine Preseason Rankings, earning 26 points in the Tournament Power Index.
TPI points are potential national tournament points determined by how many wrestlers are ranked per school and how many are ranked in the top-eight per weight class.
The Tigers have seven of 10 starters ranked in the top-20 of their weight classes.
Redshirt junior Matt Schmitt (Platte City, Mo.) ranks 13th at 133 pounds, redshirt senior Grant Leeth (Kearney, Mo.) ranks 14th at 141 pounds, junior Jarrett Jacques (Columbia, Mo.) ranks 17th at 157 pounds, redshirt sophomore Peyton Mocco (West Allis, Wis.) ranks 18th at 165 pounds and redshirt senior Wyatt Koelling (Kaysville, Ut.) ranks 20th at 197 pounds.
Two Tigers ranked in the top-8 of their weight classes. Junior Brock Mauller (Columbia, Mo.) ranks third at 149 pounds, and redshirt sophomore Zach Elam (Kansas City, Mo.) ranks seventh at heavyweight.
