Nash and Wright each earn two victories on the day
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Mizzou Tennis dropped a tight match to Memphis on Saturday afternoon, 4-3, in Minneapolis, Minn. Mizzou won the doubles point and singles matches at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions, but was unable to close out the match.
DOUBLES
Mizzou earned wins at the No. 1 and 2 positions in doubles play, as Mizzou's No. 58-ranked team of senior Serena Nash (Bradford, England) and senior Gabrielle Goldin (Bradenton, Fla.) defeated Laura Bente and Aran Teixido, 6-2, on court one, while freshman Elys Ventura (Auckland, New Zealand) and junior Ellie Wright (Gainesville, Fla.) defeated Katherine Cao and Alisha Reayer, 6-4.
SINGLES
In singles play, Nash and Wright earned victories at the No. 1 and 2 positions, respectively. Nash defeated Alisha Reayer, 6-4, 6-3, and Wright defeated Laura Bente, 6-4, 6-4.

Next, Mizzou will face Minnesota on Sunday, Feb. 23. The match is scheduled to start at 10 a.m. CT.
