COLUMBIA, Mo. - Fans of the Mizzou gymnastics team will get their first look at the 2021 squad on Friday, Dec. 4 at the annual Black & Gold Practice at 6:30 p.m. at the Hearnes Center. Admission to Black & Gold is free, however the Hearnes Center will be limited to 20 percent capacity. Fans may sit in marked approved seats and will be required to wear face coverings at all times.
The event, which serves as an exhibition practice, with the Tigers running through lineups and routines on all four events beginning on vault and rotating to bars, beam and floor, will also be streamed live on Facebook Live.
The Tigers officially open the 2021 season when the squad travels to Athens, Ga., to take on Georgia on Friday, Jan. 8. Mizzou opens the home portion of its schedule on Friday, Jan. 15 when the team welcomes Alabama to the Hearnes Center.
Missouri sat ranked at No. 14 nationally in March 2020 when the season was abruptly cut short prior to the final regular season meet. The Tigers return 10 gymnasts from that 2020 squad, including 78 percent of all routines from a year ago.
