LAKE NONA, Fla. – A pair of Mizzou Tennis student-athletes – junior Bronte Murgett (Holmfirth, Great Britain) and senior Ellie Wright (Gainesville, Fla.) – traveled to Florida last weekend to compete in the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships. The duo gained valuable experience against some of the nation's top competition as each played in three matches.

Murgett, fresh off a singles championship at the ITA Central Regional, picked up two victories at the tournament, as she defeated Pacific's Klara Kosan, 7-6 (9), 6-1 and UCF's Valeriya Zeleva, 6-2, 6-7 (5), 6-4. Wright dropped all three of her matches at the tournament.

UP NEXT

The event is the last fall event on the calendar for Mizzou, who will be off until Saturday, Jan. 23 when the Tigers open the spring schedule with a doubleheader against Murray State.
