Mizzou Women’s Golf Wraps Up Blessings Collegiate Invitational

Senior Noelle Beijer led the Tigers with a final round 73
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Senior Noelle Beijer paced Mizzou on opening week as the Mizzou Women's Golf team wrapped up the Blessings Collegiate Invitational on Wednesday night. Beijer shot a 1-over 73 on Wednesday to move up nine spots on the leaderboard and finished T-39 among a talented field of competitors.
Mizzou placed 14th at the tournament with a 116-over par 980 (330-317-333). The Blessings featured all 14 Southeastern Conference teams, providing one of the toughest competitive environments in collegiate golf.
Beijer has now finished in the Top-40 in all eight events since her arrival at Mizzou. After carding a 77 on Monday and an 82 on Tuesday, Beijer battled back to post a 73 in the final round. She's now fired a 73 or better in 14 of 22 rounds in her time as a Tiger. She finished the Blessings with a 16-over par 232.
Coming off a stellar freshman campaign, sophomore Brianne Bolden posted a 24-over par 240 (79-81-80). Bolden was paced by 30 pars over her three rounds en route to a T-58 finish.
Sophomore Sophia Yoemans made her eighth career start this week and finished T-65 with a 29-over par 245. Yoemans battled back after an 87 on day one with a 76 on day two, giving her seven rounds of 76 or better in her last 12 rounds of golf.
Senior Julia Bower placed 69th with a 270 and Jessica Yuen was forced to withdraw with an injury.
Mizzou is back in action Oct. 19-21, when the Tigers will once again compete against the entire SEC in Starkville, Mississippi.
