Third-year head coach to move to Vice President for Award
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Mizzou Softball head coach Larissa Anderson has been re-elected to the National Fastpitch Coaches' Association Board of Directors, the association announced on Monday.
Anderson, who previous served as the Vice President of Publications, will move into the role of Vice President for Awards. She will begin her three-year tenure in the role on Jan. 1, 2021.
"It is my pleasure to continue to serve the NFCA," Anderson said. "I'm proud to represent the Division I coaches in our organization. Having spent over 20 years coaching at different levels of the college game and in different regions of the country, I hope I can continue to bring a great deal of perspective to the NFCA."
Since being named the head coach at Mizzou in the Summer of 2018, Anderson has guided the program to a 54-32 record, including a 19-7 record in the COVID-19-shortened 2020 season. In her five-plus seasons as a head coach, she owns a career record of 184-105-1, and three NCAA Tournament appearances.
