
Mizzou Men's Golf Continues Fall Campaign at Inverness Intercollegiate

Tigers set to compete Sept. 23-24 in Toledo
Toledo, Ohio - Mizzou Men's Golf returns to action this upcoming week at the Inverness Intercollegiate at the Inverness Club (Par-71, 7172 yards) in Toledo, Ohio. The two-day, 15-team tournament will feature 36 holes on Monday, Sept. 24 and 18 holes on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
Mizzou will tee off at 7:45 a.m. CT with a shotgun start and play two continuous rounds on Monday. Tee times are set for 7:30 a.m. CT for Tuesday's final 18 holes.
Also teeing it up in Toledo alongside Mizzou will be Auburn, Kennesaw State, Kent State, LSU, Michigan, Michigan State, UNC Wilmington, Northern Illinois, Notre Dame, Ohio State, St. Mary's, Tennessee, Texas Tech and Toledo. Final round coverage of the Inverness Intercollegiate will be on ESPN3.
The Black & Gold had a strong start to the season at the Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate, finishing second behind nationally ranked North Carolina with a team score of 857 (7-under). Senior Rory Franssen (Inverness, Scotland) led the team at Turning Stone and will claim the top spot in the Tiger lineup in Toledo.
Ricky Sanders (The Hague, Netherlands), the only other returning senior in the Tigers' lineup, also excelled at the Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate, finishing tied for seventh with a 4-under tournament score. This was Sanders' best finish as a Mizzou golfer and he hopes to build on his performance in Toledo. Sanders will start in the second spot for Mizzou this week.
Junior Jack Parker (Columbia, Mo.) rounded out the Top 10 with a score of 1-under that earned him his second Top-10 finish at the Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate (2017-18) and third career Top-10 placement. He'll be in the third spot in the Mizzou lineup this week.
Freshman Ross Steelman (Columbia, Mo.) finished tied for 16th and had two rounds under par in his first career collegiate start. Steelman will make his second straight start for Mizzou this week, occupying the fourth spot in the lineup. Freshman Viktor Einarsson (Reykjavik, Iceland) posted a 3-under 69 in his final round that vaulted him to a tied for 21st overall at Turning Stone. Einarsson will make his first career collegiate start in Toledo.
