
Men’s Golf Finishes Round Two at SEC Championship

The Mizzou men's golf team completed the second round of the SEC Championship on Thursday with freshman Esteban Cruz Bonilla leading the way for the Tigers.
For the first time in his young collegiate career, Cruz Bonilla carded consecutive sub-70 rounds as he followed up Wednesday's 69 with a two-under 68 during the second 18 holes. Cruz Bonilla recorded a relatively clean scorecard with birdies on the fourth, 11th and 17th holes against just one bogey.
Overall, the freshman moved up three spots on the leaderboard and is now 28th overall at three-under through 36 holes.
Virgilio Paz follows and is one-under through two rounds (64-75), followed by Veikka Viskari at +3 (69-74) and Trent Mierl at +6 (73-73).
As a team, the Tigers are in 15th place with a score of +10 (275-290).
The final round tees off on Friday morning with the Tigers taking aim at 8:15 a.m. CT.
