@MIZ_TrackField’s Thomas & Ashford Named to SEC Community Service Team

Thomas and Ashford led Mizzou Track & Field in service hours in 2018-19
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Track & Field senior Hannah Thomas (Urbandale, Iowa) and redshirt freshman Jayson Ashford (Fairview Heights, Ill.) were named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, announced by the conference office Wednesday. In addition to full class schedules and a rigorous travel schedule for competitions, Thomas and Ashford were able to lead their team in hours devoted to the Columbia community during the 2018-19 academic year.
Thomas volunteered 25.5 hours of her time to the Columbia community over the 2018-19 athletic year, including time at the Food Back, Mizzou Moves, Caleb's Pitch, hospital visits and high school meets.
Ashford volunteered 19 hours of community service over the 2018-19 athletic year, including time spent at the Food Bank, Special Olympics, Susan G. Komen Race and high school track meets. Of his team-leading 19 volunteer hours, 7.5 hours were spent at high school track meets
