
@MizzouTennis Closes Regular Season with Swing Through Alabama

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou tennis team closes the regular season with two matches in the state of Alabama this weekend. The Tigers take on Auburn on Friday, Apri 12 at 2 p.m. CT before concluding the regular season on Sunday, April 14 at 1 p.m. CT against Alabama.
Missouri is coming off a 4-0 sweep over Western Illinois in the home finale on April 7. The Tigers used singles wins from junior Mackenzy Middlebrooks and sophomores Marta Oliveira and Taylor Gruber to clinch the victory over the Leathernecks.
After last weekend, Middlebrooks clocked in at No. 106 in the Oracle/ITA Women's Singles Rankings, up 18 spots from a week ago.
Mizzou's first opponent, Auburn, is 13-13 in the spring with an 0-11 mark in Southeastern Conference matches. Alabama, which owns a 16-10 overall mark and a 4-7 record in SEC action, is ranked No. 35 in this week's Oracle/ITA National Team Rankings. The Crimson Tide have logged SEC wins over Kentucky (4-1), Mississippi State (4-2), Auburn (4-2) and Florida (4-1).
The Tigers open postseason action on Wednesday, April 17 in the first round of the 2019 SEC Championship, held at Texas A&M.
