Hear From Head Coach Steve Bieser
On Saturday's victory over Rhode Island…
"I think we're starting to see flashes of our offense. I really liked how we put up five runs early. Rhode Island climbed back into it, but we put them away later on."
On the sixth inning and Rhode Island's big frame…
"They were battling and were resilient in coming back. The sixth inning was kind of rough for us. We came out and didn't throw strikes and it was suddenly a 5-3 game. Jordan (Gubelman) was kind of our swing man in this game and he got the adrenaline back in our dugout. Things then starting going our way again."
On Joven's starting pitching performance…
"It was a solid start. It was good to see him kind of settle in there a bit. I think we're still a long ways away from seeing the best Art (Joven) yet. It was really good to see him get out there and give us a solid start."
