Mizzou Volleyball Excels in the Classroom, Records 3.38 GPA in Fall 2019 Semester

Mizzou Volleyball wrapped up another strong session in the classroom this past semester, recording a cumulative 3.38 grade point average. The Tigers have surpassed a group 3.00 GPA in nine consecutive Fall semesters, dating back to 2011.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball wrapped up another strong session in the classroom this past semester, recording a cumulative 3.38 grade point average. The Tigers have surpassed a group 3.00 GPA in nine consecutive Fall semesters, dating back to 2011.

From Aug. – Dec. 2019, an impressive 10 Tigers tallied a 3.00-plus GPA. Seven of those individuals exceeded a 3.50 GPA while three Tigers finished with an unblemished 4.00 mark in the classroom.

"Our program did another outstanding job in the classroom and we're really pleased with their consistent academic effort," said Mizzou Volleyball head coach Joshua Taylor. "The ability for our ladies to excel at this high of a level both on and off the court is very impressive. They are all the definition of a true Mizzou student-athlete."

Academic prowess is commonplace for Mizzou Volleyball, as it has totaled 10 Fall semesters with a 3.00-plus GPA over the past 12 years. Additionally, over the past 16 years, the Tigers have exceeded a 3.00 cumulative GPA in 26 of their past 30 combined Fall and Spring semesters at the University of Missouri.

Mizzou has also routinely garnered national attention for their academic excellence, evident by its sixth consecutive American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award this past summer.
