Graduating senior ends career with three all-region honors
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Graduating senior Sarah Luebbert was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Southeast second team for Mizzou Soccer, the coaches' association announced on Monday.
Luebbert is the first player to receive second team all-region honors since Melanie Donaldson in 2016. The Jefferson City, Mo., native was also named to the All-SEC first team last month, while also being named Co-Scholar Athlete of the Year. She ends her illustrious career at Mizzou with three All-Region honors to her name – making the third team in 2016 and 2018.
The 2016 SEC Freshman of the Year, Luebbert concluded her collegiate career with a rebound season in 2019. She was second on the team with 22 points – scoring eight goals and spreading out six assists. The 22 points are the most she's had since her sophomore season in 2017. Luebbert was 2-for-3 from the penalty spot this season, and she scored the game-winner in the second overtime period against Xavier, Sept. 1.
Luebbert ends her Mizzou career in the top 10 in goals (29, T-7th), assists (21, T-8th), game-winning goals (8, T-7th) and points (79, 8th).
