Tigers fall victim to late runs in multiple sets by the Aggies
COLLEGE STATION, Texas - No. 24 Mizzou Volleyball (14-6, 6-4 SEC) fell 3-1 (21-25, 21-25, 25-16, 22-25) Sunday afternoon to Texas A&M inside Reed Arena. The Tigers competed well in all four sets played, but the Aggies capitalized on big scoring runs in their three set triumphs.

"Today was frustrating for sure. Starting in that opening set where we took command midway through, but couldn't close it out, it was a sign of things to come in the three sets we dropped. I was pleased with how we competed tough in all four sets, but we have to dig deep and find a way to close things out against good teams like Texas A&M. You can't give teams like them any second life."

- Mizzou's middle blocking attack duo of Omazic and Caffey were electric Sunday, each posting eight kills on .430-plus hitting.
- The Tigers' recent surge of serving well continued Sunday, as they finished with nine-plus aces for the third time in their past four matches played. Junior Leketor Member-Meneh, redshirt sophomore Andrea Fuentes, Omazic and Deberg each tallied multiple aces on the day.
- Following a 9-1 run midway through the opening set, Mizzou held a commanding 19-14 advantage. The Aggies had a big scoring run of their own however, closing the set on an 11-2 surge.
- Similar to the first set, the host Aggies used a late rush midway through the second set to gain control. The Tigers led 14-12, but Texas A&M used a 13-7 scoring run to close out the set.
- The Tigers had an answer in set three, producing 14 kills on .429 hitting en route to a dominant 25-16 set triumph. Five Tigers recorded multiple kills, led by Member-Meneh and Caffey with four apiece.
- Yet again in the fourth set, Texas A&M used a late push to ultimately win the match. The Tigers led 15-13 at the midway point, but the Aggies responded with a 12-7 run to close the afternoon.

The Tigers conclude their three-match road trip next weekend with visits to Alabama (Nov. 8) and Georgia (Nov. 10). First serve is set for 7 p.m. and 1 p.m. CT, respectively. Mizzou then hosts Alabama (Nov. 15) and South Carolina (Nov. 17) for a weekend double dip inside the Hearnes Center.
