ON TAP THIS WEEK
- Mizzou will play its final game of the season Thursday night against Mississippi State.
- Kickoff is set for 7:15 p.m. CT as part of the SEC Network's "Reach the Beach" whip around coverage.
- In celebration of Halloween, fans in costume will get in to Thursday's game for free.
LAST TIME OUT
- Mizzou dropped both games last week to move to 1-7-1 in SEC play this year.
- Against Alabama on Thursday night, the Tigers and Crimson Tide traded goals in the first 10 minutes. Alabama would open the second half with a goal in the 64' minute on a PK attempt. Mizzou was unable to respond for the 2-1 loss.
- On Sunday at No. 22 Texas A&M, Sarah Luebbert (Jefferson City, Mo.) opened the match with a goal in the 3' minute, but Aggie Ally Watt would score four goals to hand Mizzou a 5-3 defeat.
LOOKING AT THE OPPONENT
- Currently 11th in the SEC standings, the Bulldogs need a victory to secure a bid to the SEC Tournament.
- Under the direction of first-year head coach James Armstrong, Mississippi State has relied on its defense this season.
- Senior Makayla Waldner leads the program with nine goals and an assist on the season for 19 points. Kamley Monigo joins her in double figures with 12 points (three goals, six assists).
- Gabby English has seen the majority of action at goalkeeper for the Bulldogs, recording three shutouts in 16 starts.
- This will be the first meeting between the two programs since 2017, with Mizzou going 3-0 at home against Mississippi State.
HONORING THE SENIORS
- Thursday's game will be the final time Luebbert, Izzy Coulter (Niceville, Fla.), Anna Frick (Webster Groves, Mo.), Peyton Joseph (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and Madison Lewis (Zionsville, Ind.) suit up for the Tigers.
- The six went 32-39-6 in their Mizzou careers (2016-19), and are were the las senior class to qualify for the NCAA Tournament – doing so in 2016.
- Redshirt junior Grace Kitts (Leawood, Kan.) was a member of that freshman class, but has a year of eligibility remaining.
CISNEROS EYES DOUBLE DIGITS
- Sophomore Julissa Cisneros (Moreno Valley, Calif.) has been on a tear since going on an eight-game streak without a goal.
- Cisneros has found the back of the net in four-consecutive games, and now has nine goals on the season to avoid a sophomore slump.
- She is one goal away from becoming the first Tiger to score 10 goals in one season since Luebbert accomplished the feat as a freshman in 2016.
- There have only been 11 times a player has scored more than 10 goals in one season in program history.
