LEXINGTON, Ky. - Mizzou Soccer (7-7-1, 1-5-1 SEC) scored on some trickery, but was unable to leave Wendell and Vickie Bell Soccer Stadium with a win. The Tigers fell to Kentucky (6-8-2, 1-6 SEC) on Friday night.

Mizzou faced a two-goal deficit after the Wildcats scored in the 30' and 52' minutes.

TURNING POINT

  • In the 64' minute, Kentucky was called for a handball in their own box, setting up a penalty kick attempt for Mizzou.
  • Grace Kitts (Leawood, Kan.) stepped up to take the penalty kick attempt, but only tapped the ball instead of attempting a complete shot.
  • With the Wildcat keeper stepping up out of the net, Julissa Cisneros (Moreno Valley, Calif.) came streaking in to take a shot off Kitts' attempt, and fired a shot to the back of the net.

NOTEABLE

  • Julissa Cisneros' goal was her seventh of the year, extending her career-best season.
  • Cisneros now has 15 points on the season – giving Mizzou two players this season with more than 15-or-more points on the year (Sarah Luebbert- 17).
  • Kentucky had nine corner kicks to the Tigers' six – Mizzou is 1-6 on the season when they have fewer corner kicks than the opposition.
