
Mizzou Men’s Golf Finishes 11th at Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate

Franssen and Steelman record Top-30 finishes
Jonesborough, Tenn. – Mizzou Men's Golf finished its fourth tournament of the season on Sunday, placing 11th out of 15 teams at the loaded Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. The Tigers shot 291, 281 and 288 over the course of three days to shoot 860 (4-under) for the weekend.
Senior Rory Franssen (Inverness, Scotland) led Mizzou with a 3-day score of 209 (7-under). His 4-under 68 on Saturday was the highlight of his weekend, carding five birdies and just one bogey. The score matched his lowest single round of the season. Franssen's strong performance tied him for 10th in the tournament.
Freshman Ross Steelman (Columbia, Mo.) followed up his individual title at the Prairie Club Invitational with another solid showing in Jonesborough. After an even par 72 on Friday, Steelman made a push to the top of the leaderboard on Saturday. He had six birdies on his way to a 67 (5-under) and was tied for 15th going into the final day. A 1-over 73 on Sunday tied him for 24th and resulted in a 212 (4-under) for the tournament.
Junior Jack Parker (Columbia, Mo.) had his second best 3-day score of the season, shooting rounds of 73, 73 and 72 on his way to a 2-over 218. Parker's consistent weekend tied him for 47th.
Freshman Viktor Einarsson (Reykjavik, Iceland) tied for 71st with a 10-over 226. His best round of the tournament came on Sunday, when he had four birdies and shot 73 (1-over).
Senior Ricky Sanders (The Hague, Netherlands) carded a 7-over 228 and tied for 76th. His final round 79 included an eagle.
