LIVE SCORING

Jonesborough, Tenn. – Fresh off a win at the Prairie Club Invitational, Mizzou Men's Golf returns to action at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate this week. The Tigers will tee off in Jonesborough, Tenn., on Friday, Oct. 11 at 8:30 a.m. and will play 18 holes at the Blackthorn Club at the Ridges (Par-72) each of the next three days (Oct. 11-13).

Mizzou will face off against 14 other teams in a loaded field: Coastal Carolina, ETSU, East Carolina, Furman, Louisville, NC State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Tennessee, UNC Wilmington, VCU, Villanova, Virginia Tech and Virginia.

This marks the 12th straight year that the Tigers have competed in the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate. Mizzou's top finish came in 2012, when the Tigers won the tournament over 13 teams. Last season, the Tigers finished 7th out of 14 teams and three members of this year's team started in head coach Mark Leroux's lineup, senior Rory Franssen (Inverness, Scotland), senior Ricky Sanders (The Hague, Netherlands), and junior Jack Parker (Columbia, Mo.).

Franssen will start in the first spot for the Tigers for the fourth consecutive tournament. He placed second at the Prairie Club Invitational- the fourth Top-5 finish of his career. Last year at the Blackthorn Club at the Ridges, Franssen shot 4-under for the tournament and tied for 18th.

Freshman phenom Ross Steelman (Columbia, Mo.) claims the second spot for Mizzou. Steelman is coming off the best performance of his young career, a 9-under 210 that won him the Prairie Club Invitational individual title. His week was highlighted by an 8-under 65 in the middle round that vaulted him to the top of the leaderboard.

Ricky Sanders earned the third slot in the starting lineup. At the Prairie Club Invitational, Sanders finished tied for sixth, his second Top-10 placement of the season and the third of his career. At the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate in 2018, Sanders carded a 3-over 219.

Jack Parker will be in the fourth spot for Mizzou. Parker finished 15-over par at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate last year. The peak of his 2019 campaign came at the Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate when he finished 10th.

In the final spot for the Tigers is freshman Viktor Einarsson (Reykjavik, Iceland). Einarsson also had the best tournament of his career in Valentine, Neb. He shot a 5-over 224 and finished just outside the Top 20, tying for 11th.

Mizzou will be back in action this upcoming weekend at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Valentine, Neb., from Sept. 29-30.For all the latest on Mizzou Men's Golf, stay tuned to MUTigers.com and follow the team at @MizzouMensGolf (TwitterInstagramFacebook).
