
@MizzouSwimDive Nabs Seven Wins During Day One Action at Tiger Invite

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 16/21 Mizzou men's and women's swimming teams earned seven individual wins during day one competition Friday at the Tiger Invite, a meet held under the Sanction of Missouri Valley Swimming, Inc. on behalf of USA Swimming.
KEY PERFORMANCES
Seven different Tigers nabbed wins during day one action. Freshman Allison Bloebaum (Mason, Ohio) opened action with a victory in the women's 1650 free, touching first in 16:40.40.
The Tigers swept the men's and women's 50 free races, with junior Haley Hynes (Lee's Summit, Mo.) and senior Mikel Schreuders (Oranjestad, Aruba) earning wins. Hynes clocked a personal-best time of 22.13 to win the women's race, while Schreuders clocked a 20.03 on the men's side.
Senior Annie Ochitwa (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) and freshman Danny Kovac (Fort Collins, Colo.) also competed a 200 free sweep. Ochitwa touched first in a career-best 1:45.41, a time that jumped her into fourth-place all-time at Mizzou in the event. Kovac also posted a personal-best time, clocking a 1:36.73 for first.
Also winners during day one completion were senior Anthony Ashley (Houston, Texas) and sophomore Devan Sweeney (Snellville, Ga.) in the 400 IM. Ashley recorded a time of 3:52.48 and Sweeney earned the win in 4:15.00.
