COLUMBIA, Mo. – Due to Hurricane Dorian impacting Puerto Rico, Mizzou Volleyball has altered its 2019 season-opening weekend schedule. The Tigers will no longer travel to San Juan for the Puerto Rico Invitational and instead head to Miami for a single matchup against the Hurricanes.
The Tigers and Miami (Fla.) will compete Friday (Aug. 30) evening inside James L. Knight Sports Complex. First serve is TBA.
Mizzou's originally scheduled matchups this weekend against George Mason and a second contest versus Miami (Fla.) in San Juan will not be rescheduled.
Following Friday's single-game matchup in Coral Gables, Florida, Mizzou will continue its non-conference schedule next weekend (Sept. 6-7) in Dayton, Ohio, for the Dayton Invitational. The Tigers will meet No. 15 Michigan and Dayton for a Friday doubleheader followed by a contest versus Northern Illinois Saturday.
