COLUMBIA, Mo. – The MizzouMade Student-Athlete Development team has launched a social media initiative called Tiger Tuck-Ins in order to promote literacy of children throughout the Mizzou community. The program will feature recordings of Mizzou student-athletes reading popular children's books aloud in hopes of encouraging reading over the summer while highlighting the importance of education.
Over eight weeks during the summer, Mizzou student-athletes will read aloud a popular children's book twice per week in the hopes of reaching Mid-Missouri grade school students and any Mizzou fan with children. The readings will launch at 7:30 p.m. each Tuesday and Thursday over the next coming weeks on Mizzou Athletics social media channels (@MizzouAthletics on Twitter and Facebook) while also appearing on MUTigers.com.
Up first is Mizzou Soccer's Sarah Luebbert reading Fancy Nancy. Watch the video below to see the first Tiger Tuck-Ins.
