COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Men's Golf standout sophomore Jamie Stewart will be making his second NCAA Men's Golf Championship appearance, this time representing the Tigers as an individual at the Louisville Regional site. Stewart will be competing at the University of Louisville Golf Club in Simpsonville, Kentucky conducted May 13-15. He is set to tee off at 8:53 a.m. CT on Monday.
In order to advance to the National Championship Finals, Stewart will need to be the low finisher among individuals who aren't on one of the five advancing teams. The National Championships will be help May 24-27 at Blessing Golf Club in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Stewart was selected as the No. 2 individual seed in the Louisville region and will take on some of the top players in the nation in the 54-hole tournament.
Stewart currently holds the lowest stroke average among the individuals he will compete against in Louisville averaging 70.7 per round. In the 33 rounds the sophomore has competed in, he's finished under par in 21 of them, leading to two top-five and two top-10 finishes. The Scotland native also set two of his career low 54-hole totals this year, firing 10-under at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate and 9-under at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational.
