Series History vs. Missouri State

  • The all-time series between Mizzou and Missouri State is tied, 29-29.
  • The Tigers took care of business in their first meeting this season, claiming a convincing 14-6 victory in Springfield last week (April 16).
  • With its two-game series victory over the Bears a season ago, plus the aforementioned triumph at Hammons Field last week, Mizzou has earned three consecutive wins in the all-time series.

Mizzou Sits at No. 22 in Latest NCAA RPI

  • The Tigers checked in at No. 22 Monday morning (April 22) in the latest edition of the NCAA RPI rankings. Mizzou has consistently played one of the nation's top schedules this season, evident by 22 contests against top 100 RPI teams.
  • Furthermore, the Tigers have squared off in 12, top 25 RPI games and 18, top 50 RPI contests. Against the top-flight competition, Mizzou possesses a solid seven victories against top 50 opponents and 11 wins versus top 100 foes.
  • The Tigers' top resume triumphs include taking two of three against No. 18 LSU (April 12-14), No. 28 Ole Miss (March 22-24) and No. 48 Kentucky (April 5-7). Mizzou also played well in College Station at No. 13 Texas A&M (March 29-31), earning a win and tie over the three-game series.

  • Following Tuesday's matchup against Missouri State, the Tigers welcome Southeastern Conference East Division foe South Carolina to Taylor Stadium.
