COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Track & Field continues its outdoor season this weekend, as the Tigers will have student-athletes competing in three meets across two states. The bulk of Mizzou entries will compete at the Texas Relays in Austin, Texas, while a group of distance runners will be on the track at either the Stanford Invitational or the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in San Francisco.

Mizzou will have athletes competing Thursday-Saturday in Austin, while Mizzou's distance runners will all compete on Friday in California.

Mizzou's best will be competing in the field events at the Texas Relays, as each of Mizzou's entries holds at least one program top-10 indoor or outdoor mark. Included in the entries is redshirt senior Gabi Jacobs (Bloomington, Ill.), who reset her own school record in the discus at the Herm Wilson Invitational (March 23) with the nation's second-best mark at 60.25m (197-8). In addition to competing in the discus, Jacobs will also throw the shot put.

Freshman Roberto Vilches (Mexico City, Mexico), Mizzou's indoor high jump school record holder and NCAA Indoor All-American, will be making his outdoor debut in the high jump on Saturday. He will be joined by senior Landon Cuskelly (El Dorado, Kan.), who qualified for the NCAA West Preliminary a season ago and holds the No. 5 mark in program history at 2.18m (7-1.75). Redshirt senior Avery Carter (Lee's Summit, Mo.), an All-American in the hammer throw in 2018, will also be in competition in the hammer on Thursday.

Relay events will dominate the track events for Mizzou, as the Tigers will have a 4x100m and 4x400m relay for both the men and women, as well as an invitational sprint medley team for the men.

Over in Stanford, Mizzou will have five distance runners competing in three events, including the return of redshirt junior Thomas George (Gloucester, England) in the 10,000m run. George earned All-SEC honors in the cross country season before redshirting the indoor season. Junior Kieran Wood (Cambridge, U.K.), Mizzou's school record holder in the indoor mile run and 3000m run, will make his outdoor debut in the 1500m run on Friday.

Three Tiger athletes will also be in competition at the Mike Fanelli Track Classic in San Francisco on Friday, including redshirt sophomore Melissa Menghini (Fenton, Mo.) in the 5000m run. Menghini opened her outdoor season by running the seventh-best 3000m steeplechase time in program history (10:42.26) at the Herm Wilson Invitational (March 22).
