
@MizzouMensGolf Captures Seventh Consecutive Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate Title

Sophomore Jamie Stewart placed second individually, tying his best career finish
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Men's Golf sealed its seventh consecutive Turning Stone Tiger Intercollegiate championship on Monday, outpacing second-place North Dakota State by 29 strokes. Mizzou shot 16-under par (848: 278-282-288) as a team as head coach Mark Leroux secured his 48th career tournament win and his fourth since Sept. 4, 2017.
Sophomore Jamie Stewart matched his best career finish, placing second overall individually at 8-under par for the tournament. The performance gives Stewart three top-10 finishes in his career. He was the only competitor in the entire Turning Stone field to fire all three rounds under par.
Playing as an individual, senior Matt Echelmeier finished tied for third overall, shooting a 5-under par 211. Echelmeier followed a pair of 3-under par 69s with a 73 on Monday. He now has five Top-10 finishes in his career, with three coming at Turning Stone.
Playing in his first tournament in a Mizzou uniform, transfer junior Ricky Sanders battled back after carding a 4-over 76 in the opening round and posted a pair of 2-under 70s in rounds two and three to tie for eighth overall. Junior Rory Franssen finished 10th individually, giving the Tigers four players in the Top 10. Franssen shot 1-over par for the tournament, highlight by a 2-under 70 in the opening round.
Sophomore Jack Parker rounded out the scoring for Mizzou, finishing 4-over and tying for 17th. Senior Luigi Botta tied for 27th.
