Mizzou Baseball Unveils Nike Vapor Elite Uniforms for 2018

COLUMBIA, Mo. – As Mizzou Baseball prepares for the 2018 season, the new turf on Simmons Field won't be the only new look for the Tigers this year. Nike Baseball has supplied Mizzou with seven different uniform combinations for the 2018 season. Each uniform, coming from the Vapor Elite line, combines Nike's incredible look and design with cutting-edge performance technology that takes into account the player's specific movements to provide maximum comfort and performance while playing on the baseball diamond.

The elimination of side seams reduces arm abrasion and a full mesh back panel and mesh gussets underneath the arms enable breathability. A shaped hem reduces distracting bulk around the waist.
NIKE VAPOR ELITE PANT: Twenty percent lighter than traditional knit pants, the Nike Vapor Elite Pant features a stretch woven fabric and targeted articulation for maximum mobility. The pant is also available in a throwback high version, equipped with an elastic gripper at the bottom of the cuff, allowing the pant to be worn above the sock. Ventilation in the rear knee facilitates thermoregulation, while forward-facing side seams help reduce drag when sliding.
THE ALL-WHITE: The traditional home look of Mizzou Baseball, the all-whites are what baseball purists crave. This year's Nike Vapor Elite all-white uniforms, modeled by senior C Brett Bond, have a new look. Instead of having 'Mizzou' across the front, head coach Steve Bieser and company elected to go with the 'Tigers' script across the chest for the first time in recent memory. A single black stripe on each sleeve, hidden buttons, black socks and Nike all-white cleats with a shiny gold bottom complete the classic look. The all-black Nike Vapor Elite cap with the solid Mizzou Block M makes this traditional uniform one of the best in all of college baseball.
THE ROAD GREYS: In the game of baseball, you wear grey on the road, and Mizzou Baseball will continue that trend in 2018. Thee road greys, modeled by senior RHP Andy Toelken, bring back 'Mizzou' across the chest. A solid black Mizzou script with a light gold stroke is partnered with a giant gold number and a slight black stroke. The arms have a single gold stripe with the traditional Tiger head logo. Cap the look with the all-black Nike cleats and the all-black hat with the solo gold Block M logo and Mizzou will look sharp in opposing SEC stadiums.
THE BLACK HENLEY JERSEY WITH WHITE PANTS: Mizzou's black jerseys received a complete overhaul from last year's look and bring an entirely new style to the baseball diamond in 2018. Modeled by RS junior RHP Bryce Montes De Oca, the black jerseys ditched the button-down look and traded it for a unique Henley style, with three buttons on top of the jersey. The solid-gold script on both the Mizzou word mark and the numbers make this one of the Tigers' top looks. These can be worn with all-white pants with either the high bumblebee striped black socks or with full pants down to the cleats. Cap it off with the gold-billed Nike Vapor Elite hat with a solid gold Block M logo, these are sure to be one of college baseball's sleekest uniforms.
THE GOLD HENLEY JESERY WITH WHITE PANTS: Another Henley look from the Nike Vapor Elite line, the gold jerseys had arguably the biggest departure from the 2017 model with 2018's revamp. Like the black jersey, the golds are a three-button Henley in solid gold with solid black Mizzou and number scripts. Modeled by senior INF Matt Berler, the golds are a fresh take on a classic Mizzou look. Worn with the white pants and the bumblebee striped black socks, the golds epitomize swagger. Top the look off with all-white, gold-bottomed cleats and the two-toned, gold-billed Nike Vapor Elite hat, the gold uniforms are sure to be fan-favorites in 2018. THE ANTHRACITE: Another take on the road greys, Nike has supplied Mizzou with a unique Anthracite uniform in 2018. Modeled by senior INF Alex Samples, the Anthracite uniforms are a smoky, deep grey color that has been featured prominently in other Mizzou athletic program uniforms throughout the years. A solid gold Mizzou and number script don the front of this jersey with a solid gold stripe on each sleeve. The left sleeve features the Mizzou Tiger Head logo while a black-and-gold SEC patch in on the right. Worn with white pants and two-tone black-and-white cleats, this uniform is a fresh take on a classic road look. Add the Anthracite colored hat featuring the Tiger Head logo, it is the only Mizzou uniform combination to not feature a Block M on the cap. Like the whites and the greys, the Anthracite jerseys feature a full-button down front.
THE CREAM: Another look that will thrill the baseball purists, the cream uniform combination oozes tradition and swagger. All-black script Mizzou and numbers are flanked by a single black stripe on each sleeve and the cream colored jerseys go back to the full-button down front. They are worn with the all-black Nike Vapor Elite cap featuring the solid gold Block M. Throw in a pair of high black socks, and the cream uniforms are a perfect look for Sundays at Taylor Stadium.
THE THROWBACK: Another fresh take on a classic look, these are bound to be fan favorites. The throwbacks are oversized and baggy all-whites that feature a script 'Missouri' font and double-stroke black-stripe running down the button-down front. Originally worn by Mizzou during the 2014 season to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the 1954 College World Series Champion Tigers, these jerseys are replicas of the exact ones worn that year, with Nike's most cutting edge performance technology added, of course. Modeled by senior OF Trey Harris, the throwbacks are worn with the two-toned Nike Vapor Elite hat and feature black, bumblebee striped stirrup socks. These will only be worn on very special occasions at Taylor Stadium and are the only uniform combination to have 'Missouri' across the chest.
THE BP TOP: Last, but certainly not least, Nike has provided Mizzou with brand new batting practice tops for the 2018 season. These are the same look as in year's past; a two-toned black jersey with gold sleeves and an all-gold Mizzou script on the chest. Also, the Tiger Head logo is featured on the top left of the front of the jersey. These are modeled by senior RHP Nolan Gromacki.
