COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball senior MB Alyssa Munlyn and sophomore OH Kylie Deberg were named 2018 American Volleyball Coaches Association Southeast All-Region, announced Tuesday by the organization's office.
Munlyn joins Carly Kan (2013-16) and Lindsey Hunter (2002-05) as the only Tigers in program history to garner four consecutive AVCA All-Region accolades. Munlyn and Kan were recognized as Southeast All-Region award winners, while Hunter received Central All-Region recognition during her tenure.
Since 2000 and under the tutelage of Wayne Kreklow and Susan Kreklow, the Tigers have produced 32 total AVCA All-Region awards. From 2000-11, Mizzou recorded 15 Central All-Region winners while tallying 17 Southeast All-Region honors from 2012-present.
"We're very proud of both Alyssa and Kylie," Coach Kreklow said. "They had a great year for us and certainly are deserving of this honor. I feel like we also had some other players who were certainly deserving but weren't recognized today. In the end, it was a great season and a great performance and effort by all."

In her first season in Tiger black and gold, Deberg evolved into one of the SEC and NCAA's top offensive threats. Heading into the Regional round of the 2018 NCAA Tournament, she ranks top 10 in the SEC in aces, aces per set, kills, kills per set, points and points per set.
Deberg's 59 aces this year ranked third all-time in single-season Mizzou history. It stood as the most aces by a Tiger in a single season since 2002. Her 522 total points were the most by a Tiger since 2016. Deberg was a model of offensive consistency this season, producing 10-plus kills in 28 of 32 matches played.
