Tigers continue strong tradition of academic success
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball concluded another strong session in the classroom, posting a cumulative 3.29 grade point average in the Fall 2018 semester. The Tigers have surpassed a group 3.00 GPA in eight consecutive Fall semesters, dating back to 2011.
From Aug. – Dec. 2018, an impressive nine Tigers recorded a 3.00-plus GPA. Seven of those individuals exceeded a 3.50 GPA while one Tiger finished with an unblemished 4.00 mark in the classroom.
"We're very proud of our kids on the court and in the classroom this semester," Mizzou Volleyball head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "The Fall is tough for us as we are in full swing and the kids are slammed with work in the classroom and on the court, plus the travel and time away from campus. We had a very young group this season and for them to respond this way speaks well to the future here."
#Mizzou excels in the classroom yet again, finishes with a 3.29 GPA in recent Fall 2018 semester!

Mizzou has traditionally enjoyed academic prowess under Wayne and Susan Kreklow, as it has totaled 12 Fall semesters with a 3.00 or higher GPA. The Tigers' strong start to the 2018-19 academic calendar is to no surprise, as the team posted a 3.50-plus GPA in each semester during last year's 2017-18 calendar.
Over the past 15 years, Mizzou has exceeded a 3.00 cumulative GPA in 24 of 28 combined Fall and Spring semesters. The Tigers have also routinely garnered national academic accolades, producing five consecutive American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Awards dating back to 2014.
