@MizzouMensGolf Travels to Hawaii for Final Fall Tournament

The Tigers open play at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational on Sunday
PRINCEVILLE, Hawaii – The Mizzou Men's Golf team travels to Princeville, Hawaii, to compete in the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational this weekend. The tournament, Mizzou's last of the fall campaign, will take place at the Princeville Makai Golf Club in Kauai from Oct. 28-30.
The field consists of 20 teams, including No. 6 Pepperdine and No. 16 Louisville Cardinals, according to the GCAA Coaches Poll. Other teams competing include Army West Point, Cal Poly, Cal State Fullerton, Denver, East Tennessee State, Hawai'i, Idaho, Louisiana, Loyola Marymount, McNeese State, Mississippi, Purdue, Sam Houston State, San Diego, UAB, UMKC, and Utah Valley.
Last year, Mizzou placed third overall at the Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational, setting a new program record with a 40-under par, the best 54-hole team score in school history.
Starting off the Tigers' lineup this year in Princeville is sophomore Jamie Stewart (Renfrewshire, Scotland). At last year's Warrior Princeville Makai Invitational, Stewart had a solid outing, finishing 11th (65-68-72 -- 205) overall. Stewart currently leads the team, averaging 70.91 strokes per round and is coming off a successful trip to the Bank of Tennessee intercollegiate in which he finished T-6th, shooting 10-under-par.
Following Stewart in the lineup is junior Rory Franssen (Inverness, Scotland). Franssen is coming off of a top-20 finish in which the junior shot four-under-par at the Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate.
Rounding out the lineup is senior Matt Echelmeier (Columbia, MO.), junior Ricky Sanders (The Hague, Netherlands), and Luigi Botta (Cuneo, Italy). Additionally, sophomore Jack Parker (Columbia, MO.) will compete in the tournament as an individual.
