Mizzou Volleyball checked-in at No. 24 in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association Division I poll, announced Monday by the organization's office. It marks the Tigers' first appearance in the national poll this season.

Mizzou vaulted into the latest edition of the AVCA poll thanks to a big weekend in Southeastern Conference play. This past weekend, the Tigers defeated Auburn and No. 11 Florida to push their winning streak to a season-best six matches. Mizzou's victory against the Gators marked its second top 25 ranked win this year, joining its triumph over No. 25 Alabama on Sept. 19.

The Tigers last appeared in an AVCA poll at the conclusion of the 2017 campaign. Following its second consecutive trip to an NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, Mizzou was tabbed No. 20 in the final edition of last year's rankings.

Mizzou last appeared in a regular season AVCA poll in 2016, as that's year's squad was listed No. 18 in the Week 14 rankings. Following their first of two back to back Sweet 16 appearances, that year's Tigers program finished the season ranked No. 16 overall.
