@MizzouTennis Announces 2019 Spring Slate

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Tennis Head Coach Colt Gaston announced the 2019 spring schedule on Wednesday. The slate features 14 home matches, including six home matchups against Southeastern Conference opponents.

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Tennis Head Coach Colt Gaston announced the 2019 spring schedule on Wednesday. The slate features 14 home matches, including six home matchups against Southeastern Conference opponents. 

Mizzou opens spring action with a trio of doubleheaders in January. The team starts play on Jan. 19 against SLU and Western Illinois, followed by matchups against Southeast Missouri State and Arkansas State on Jan. 26, all at home. The Tigers travel to Norfolk, Virginia, for third consecutive doubleheader to take on Old Dominion and Morgan State on Jan. 30. 

Missouri returns home to host Virginia Tech on Feb. 3 before hitting the road again for three more matches. The team travels to Wichita, Kansas, to face Wichita State on Feb. 6 before a match at Memphis on Feb. 15. Mizzou remains in Memphis on Feb. 16 for a neutral site matchup against Minnesota at the Racket Club of Memphis. 

Following a home doubleheader against Central Arkansas and Missouri State on Feb. 23, the Tigers open SEC play on the road at Vanderbilt (March 1) and Kentucky (March 3). They then return to Columbia for three matches in three days the following weekend. Mizzou hosts South Carolina on March 10 and welcomes Florida and UMKC for a doubleheader on March 12. 

Mizzou travels to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to face Arkansas on March 15 before hosting Texas A&M and LSU on March 22 and 24, respectively.

A four-match swing away from home follows for the Tigers. The team plays a doubleheader at Savannah State in Savannah, Georgia, on March 26 before road matches at SEC foes Mississippi State (March 29) and Ole Miss (March 31). 

The Tigers close the home portion of their schedule against Tennessee on April 5 and Georgia on April 7, before ending the regular season at Auburn on April 12 and Alabama on April 14.

Following the conclusion of the regular season, the Tigers will travel to College Station, Texas, for the SEC Championships, held April 17-21, at Texas A&M.
