COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Women's Basketball has signed the third member of its 2018 recruiting class, as head coach Robin Pingeton announced the signing of Brittany Garner Friday. Garner, who is the No. 68 recruit in Prospect Nation's class of 2018 rankings, is a 6-foot-4 forward from Philadelphia, Pa.

Garner reached the 1,000-point milestone in just two and half prep seasons. She helped lead Winslow Township High School in Winslow, N.J., to a 24-4 record and an Olympic Conference Championship her senior season, as she averaged 17 points and 11 rebounds per game while earning First-Team All-Conference honors. Garner was a defensive force in the paint, as she racked up 70 blocked shots (2.6 per game) in her senior campaign.

Garner played a crucial role in Winslow's run to the Group 3 State Tournament semifinals, including a 29-point and 13-rebound performance in an opening-round win over Lacey. For her performance during her senior season, she earned Second-Team All-State Group 3 honors.

"I chose Mizzou because I felt an instant connection with the team and staff, and saw a great opportunity to compete at the highest level alongside great people and fierce competitors," said Garner. "Mizzou fits me. I feel like I can make an impact and give the team a big boost down low."

She chose Mizzou over Colorado and Oklahoma, among others. Garner, who is the youngest of six siblings, will follow the footsteps of her brother Malik and sister Erin by playing collegiate basketball. Malik played for University of Maryland, Baltimore Country from 2012-15, while Erin currently plays for Virginia Tech.

Garner is the third member of Mizzou's class of 2018, as she joins Top-40 recruit Grace Berg and Top-70 recruit Akira Levy.
