COLUMBIA, Mo. – For the second consecutive weekend, Mizzou Softball (13-10) will visit the sunny state of Florida for a weekend stretch. The Tigers will meet Ohio State, Rutgers, North Dakota State, South Florida and Monmouth in Clearwater, Fla., from Friday, March 17 – Sunday, March 19.
Mizzou is scheduled for doubleheaders on both Friday and Saturday, while playing a single game Sunday morning. The Tigers possess a 10-8 record at their previous nonconference tournaments this season.
The Tigers are coming off a doubleheader sweep Wednesday (March 15) evening over Iowa at the brand new Mizzou Stadium. Mizzou blanked the Hawkeyes in each game, marking its sixth and seventh shutout victories this year.
Series History

Tigers Sweep Iowa in Mid-Week Doubleheader
- Mizzou posted an impressive doubleheader sweep over Iowa on Wednesday evening, earning a pair of shutout victories.
- Senior RHP Cheyenne Baxter and sophomore RHP Danielle Baumgartner combined to throw 12.0 scoreless innings against the Hawkeyes, as each Tiger hurler continued to pile up recent impressive numbers.
- In fact, Baxter has tallied 1 ER or less in six of her past seven appearances (four starts). She lowered her team-best ERA to 2.42 following the game one outing against Iowa.
- Also over the past month, Baumgartner has posted scoreless outings in five of her past six appearances (two starts). Since March 4, she has tallied a sparkling 0.36 ERA over 19.1 IP (team-high six appearances).
