COLUMBIA, Mo. - Mizzou Men's Basketball (7-19, 2-12) returns to Mizzou Arena for its second-to-last home game of the season, hosting No. 11 Kentucky (22-5, 12-2) for an 8 p.m. CT tipoff. Live coverage will be provided by the SEC Network and the Tiger Radio Network.

  • The Tigers' matchup vs. No. 11 Kentucky will be their four game against a ranked opponent this season.
  • Head coach Kim Anderson won his 300th career game as Mizzou defeated Vanderbilt, 72-52 (Feb. 11). The Tigers were sparked by a second consecutive 23-point game from junior forward Jordan Barnett.
  • Sophomore guard Terrence Phillips scored 18 points (6-of-9 FG, 4-of-6 3PT, 2-of-3 FT), but Mizzou fell at Tennessee (Feb. 18), 90-70.
  • The second-ever #RallyForRhyan Game, an 83-78 win vs. Arkansas (Feb. 4) was a success on and off the court, with more than $54,000 raised for pediatric cancer research.
  • The entire 2016-17 Mizzou roster is made up of first- or second-year players. Not a single member of the Black & Gold has been with the squad for three seasons. According to KenPom.com, the Tigers rank 331st out of 351 NCAA Division I teams in terms of experience.
  • Barnett has led Mizzou in scoring seven times since becoming eligible after his transfer (17 games played).

OPPONENT - KENTUCKY

  • Kentucky enters Mizzou Arena atop the Southeastern Conference with a record of 12-2 in conference play and 22-5 overall. The Wildcats are currently ranked No. 11 in the AP Top 25 poll and have won their last four games.
  • Led by head coach John Calipari, Kentucky began the season by winning 17 of their first 19 games before dropping three of four games including a home loss to Kansas (79-73) on Jan. 28 and a road loss to Florida (88-66) on Feb. 4.
  • Freshman guard Malik Monk leads the team and conference in scoring, averaging 21.4 points per game while shooting 41.4 percent from the three-point line. Three other Wildcats, – freshman guard De'Aaron Fox, sophomore guard Isaiah Briscoe and freshman forward Edrice Abebayo – average double figures in scoring. Fox is second on the team with 15.6 points per game, while Briscoe averages 13.6 and Adebayo averages 12.7 points per game.
  • Adebayo leads the team in rebounding with 7.1 rebounds per game, while freshman forward Wenyen Gabriel is second on the team with 5.7 per game. Abebayo also leads UK with 80 offensive boards.
  • Kentucky is averaging 88.8 points and 40.4 rebounds per game through 27 contests, allowing 73.2 points and 35.3 rebounds per game to its opponents. Foes of the Wildcats have shot 43.0 percent from the field and 31.3 percent from the three-point line.

PHILLIPS WITH LATEST SCORING OUTBURST AT TENNESSEE

  • Mizzou sophomore guard Terrence Phillips (Orange County, Calif.) led the Tigers in scoring for the fifth time this season with his 18 points (6-of-9 FG, 4-of-6 3PT, 2-of-3 FT) at Tennessee (Feb. 18). Phillips accomplished the feat four times as a freshman in 2015-16.
  • Phillips' effort from deep range was significant, as it was the ninth time this season he has made multiple three-pointers in a game. His four triples against the Volunteers were one shy of his career high of five, which he has reached twice this season (NC Central, Nov. 28; at Georgia, Jan. 7).

WALTON STOCK ON THE RISE AGAIN

  • Sophomore guard K.J. Walton (Indianapolis, Ind.) has enjoyed one of the most impressive stretches of his career. Walton has reached double figures in scoring in five of the last seven games, averaging 10.7 points per game in that time span.
  • Walton recorded a 12-point, five-rebound game vs. Alabama (Feb. 15), leading the Tigers in scoring for the fourth time this season. He also posted a season-high three assists, one shy of his career-best.
  • While Walton did not reach the 10-point barrier vs. Vanderbilt (Feb. 11), he did help push the Tigers to victory with a strong outing on the glass, as his nine rebounds were the second-best total of his career. The Tiger hauled in a career-high 13 boards vs. Auburn (Jan. 10) earlier this season.
  • At Tennessee (Feb. 18), Walton kept the kindness flowing with two more assists. His back-to-back games with multiple assists has now been accomplished three times in his career and twice this season. Walton also played 31 minutes against the Volunteers, matching his career-high (at Ole Miss, Feb. 23, 2016).
  • Walton's minutes have steadily increased in SEC action this season after averaging 14.6 minutes per game in nonconference play. During Mizzou's SEC schedule, Walton has played 24.9 minutes per game.

WOLF WORK ETHIC PAYS OFF

  • Often times, walk-ons in college basketball go whole seasons without landing a single bucket, as they either play very little or only for final moments of on-court action. Mizzou sophomore forward Adam Wolf (Beaver Dam, Wis.), who turned down Division II scholarship offers to attend the University of Missouri, saw the floor at Tennessee (Feb. 18), and made the most of it.
  • Wolf came away with that elusive field goal after head coach Kim Anderson turned to the sophomore in first half action to alleviate foul trouble concerns in Mizzou's front court. Wolf flipped in a short lay-up after grabbing an offensive rebound inside the two-minute mark. He snagged one more offensive board in the closing seconds of the first half to set a season high in rebounds.
