Tigers win third straight
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Football won its third consecutive game, 45-16, over Florida on Saturday afternoon at Memorial Stadium. The Tigers scored their most points in a first half against an SEC team since 2013, opening a 28-6 lead at halftime and never looked back. Mizzou hung 455 total yards, including 227 on the ground, on a Gator defense that came into the game allowing just 360.3.
Turning Point
After Mizzou threw an INT on its first drive, Florida stalled Mizzou's second drive, forcing a punt. The Gators muffed the ensuing punt, leading to a Kendall Blanton TD grab three plays later to give Mizzou a 7-0 lead. The Tigers then scored TDs on their following three drives to open a 28-6 lead at the half. Mizzou ran for 166 yards in the first half alone against a Gator defense that came into the game allowing just 168 on the ground per contest. QB Drew Lock threw a pair of touchdowns in the opening frame and Larry Rountree III posted 74 yards on the ground with a pair of scores in the opening 30 minutes. | IN DEPTH: TURNING POINT
Top Tigers
- Junior QB Drew Lock threw three touchdown passes Saturday, moving him into second place on Mizzou's career TD pass list with 59.
- Junior TE Kendall Blanton hauled in his first TD grab of the year, a five-yard catch from Drew Lock with 5:56 remaining in the first quarter
- Senior S Anthony Sherrils tallied his first career multi-takeway game. He recovered the muffed punt and then picked off a Malik Zaire pass. Both takeaways set up Mizzou touchdowns. The interception was his third career pick and first of the season.
- Junior DT Terry Beckner, Jr., was a monster in the trenches for Mizzou Saturday. He tallied five tackles with 2.0 for a loss and a sack. Over his last three games, Beckner has 4.5 total sacks and 6.0 tackles for loss
- Freshman RB Larry Rountree III finished with three rushing TDs Saturday, the most for a Mizzou running back since Damarea Crockett ran for four against Middle Tennessee last season. It was one shy of the Mizzou freshman record for rushing TDs. He finished with 181 all-purpose yards and 83 on the ground. | IN DEPTH: O-LINE PAVES THE WAY

Potent Quotables
Great note per @MU4124: We've won three straight by 29+ each for the third time ever. Last time was in 1968, first in 1907.#MIZ #ShowMe ????

Notes
- Junior WR Emanuel Hall posted the fourth 100-yard receiving game of his career with his five-catch, 1113-yard effort against the Gators. Hall has gone over 100 receiving yards three times during the 2016 season.

Comparatively, Mizzou's Chase Daniel compiled five-game stretches of 16 and 15 scoring throws at the end and beginning of the 2008 season, respectively.
- Senior RB Ish Witter snagged his first career receiving touchdown. Witter also surpassed his season high in rush attempts with 17.
